Our first Squares for 2013.

Good Morning and thanks for visiting the 'SIBOL' Blog.

May I wish you all a Very Happy New Year!

The start of the New Year brings some beautiful Squares from Ann in Leeds along with some pretty Butterflies and embellishments. I thought they would make a good header photo bringing some colour in to our day.

This is the first time I've been properly on-line for nearly a week as I have had this cold/stomach virus which is going around. Not feeling 100% yet by any means but I have had these Squares arrive this morning and I thought I would like to try and get them blogged for you. They are really lovely Ann thank you very much. A great start to 2013.

I live in the UK.

I'm making 'Sunshine International Blankets of Love' For the Elderly'.
(see 28th Feb post) In Memory of my Grandmother, with the help of my on-line friends.
Would you like to help me?

I'm asking for 6" x 6" (15cms x 15cms) Knitted or Crocheted Squares.
Any Design, Any Colour, Straight Edge please.
Acrylic if possible (or whatever you have in your stash!)
No deadline, no panic,no rush.

All 'Sunshine Blankets' will be donated to Nursing Homes in the UK.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
