Two new SIBOLS arrive today!

Hi everyone!

I would like to thank Marilyn very much indeed for the two blankets I have received this morning.

The first one she has made herself. She tells me she hasn't been crocheting very long, I can't believe that. This blanket is gorgeous, very pretty indeed. I do love how she has joined this one. She has named it 'Cream Lace' and I think the name is perfect.

'Cream Lace' made and donated by Marilyn (RAV).

The second one is called 'Peppermint Ice'.

Marilyn very kindly offered to make 25 squares up for me over on RAVELRY.

Once again she has assembled it beautifully and I would like to thank everyone for sending in squares for this blanket.

Thanks to everyone that have contributed squares for this blanket.

I am terribly grateful for your help Marilyn and thank you also for actually sitting down to make a blanket yourself for 'SIBOL'.

I'm sure the Nursing Homes will be very grateful for both of these wonderful blankets.

Wow Marilyn, great work, i love the squares in cream lace, Peppermint ice has lovely squares too and i love the border you have done. You have done a fantastic job and great workmanship for someone who hasn't been crocheting for long

I live in the UK.

I'm making 'Sunshine International Blankets of Love' For the Elderly'.
(see 28th Feb post) In Memory of my Grandmother, with the help of my on-line friends.
Would you like to help me?

I'm asking for 6" x 6" (15cms x 15cms) Knitted or Crocheted Squares.
Any Design, Any Colour, Straight Edge please.
Acrylic if possible (or whatever you have in your stash!)

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
