Do you like Crocheting? Would you like to Swap Squares? Please join us!

Good Morning,

I am hoping that Ladies will see this SIBOL post this morning. This is a shout out to anyone in our SIBOL RAV GROUP, or anyone else in the World who loves Crocheting!

As you know 'SIBOL' regularly donates Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in Nursing Homes here in the UK. We also make 'special Charity' Blankets raising money for various Charities which is really good. Apart from that we have fun in our SIBOL RAV GROUP making Crocheted Squares to 'SWAP!'. Now the numbers of Ladies taking part has dropped and we desperately need some new Ladies to join us. So if you would like to join us why not pop over to RAVELRY and leave your name on the thread. arien 156 will contact you if you leave your name.

The Ladies swap Squares each month to make Blankets and cushion covers and always enclose a small gift too. So if you think you are interested please pop over to RAVELRY now!

It's so nice to make new friends and share the love of Crocheting!

I'm making 'Sunshine International Blankets of Love' For the Elderly'.
(see 28th Feb post) In Memory of my Grandmother, with the help of my on-line friends.
Would you like to help me?

I'm asking for 6" x 6" (15cms x 15cms) Knitted or Crocheted Squares.
Any Design, Any Colour, Straight Edge please.
Acrylic if possible (or whatever you have in your stash!)
No deadline, no panic,no rush.

All 'Sunshine Blankets' will be donated to Nursing Homes in the UK.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
