Blue and white inspiration

Before starting on my blue and white squares I thought That I would have a look to see what inspiration I could find…..

It turns out I like blue. I don’t think I noticed how much I had in the house until I decided to photograph it. In the 80’s I went colour mad, terracotta was very popular then. Now its all neutral with accents. What colours predominate in your homes?

OOh thanks so much for posting Louise! I'm so glad you are taking part in 'team blogging'. I fully agree with you. My Kitchen is in 'Blue and White'. Blue and white tablecloth. Blue and white crocheted doileys on my window sill and on my corner kitchen cupboard which house my piggies. Yes I'm Blue and White in the Kitchen. Lounge - well if you visit my Flickr stream you'll see plenty of my Lounge. going for the peach/terracotta colours. I have my home in a slide show on Mrs Twins. Yes the colours have certainly gone very neutral now but at the end of the day I think you have to stick with what you like.
These Blue and White Squares are gorgeous. I am finishing the sun blankets this week. I maybe quiet in Blogland. I'm allowing myself a week to finish '3' sun themed Blankets off before I start the flower ones. Which I am so looking forward to with all these gorgeous blue and white squares.
Dont you just get so excited with these Challenges!

I'm making 'Sunshine International Blankets of Love' For the Elderly'.
(see 28th Feb post) In Memory of my Grandmother, with the help of my on-line friends.
Would you like to help me?

I'm asking for 6" x 6" (15cms x 15cms) Knitted or Crocheted Squares.
Any Design, Any Colour, Straight Edge please.
Acrylic if possible (or whatever you have in your stash!)

All 'Sunshine Blankets' will be donated to Nursing Homes in the UK.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
