My Turn...

Just a little post from me... seeing it's my first.
I have a crochet friend, Erika from Brazil & she sent me this link to help me decipher patterns written in other languages... I think it is too good, not share with you all...
Make sure you don't have your translator switched on because the first time I looked at it the Portuguese was already in English & that threw me for a while - some days I'm not the brightest spark around... ha ha
I'm sure some of you will know Erika...

I'm making 'Sunshine International Blankets of Love' For the Elderly'.
(see 28th Feb post) In Memory of my Grandmother, with the help of my on-line friends.
Would you like to help me?

I'm asking for 6" x 6" (15cms x 15cms) Knitted or Crocheted Squares.
Any Design, Any Colour, Straight Edge please.
Acrylic if possible (or whatever you have in your stash!)
No deadline, no panic,no rush.

All 'Sunshine Blankets' will be donated to Nursing Homes in the UK.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
